The perfect reason to raise a glass of wine

11th August 2014

"Tickets are selling fast for September’s Devon Wine and Music Festival, which will be headlined by singer-songwriter Adam Isaac @adamisaacUK.

As well as several bands playing, there will be dozens of wines to taste from six vineyards around Devon, and food from local suppliers and crafts.

Pebblebed @pebblebedwines is hosting the event at its vineyard in Clyst St George, near Topsham, on Saturday, September 13, and the following day.

Adam Isaac, who made it through to the quarter-final stages of BBC One show The Voice UK, with Sir Tom Jones as coach, will be opening the event.

The event is being held in aid of end-of-life charity Hospiscare.

Hospiscare’s Ann Blake said: “This is an exciting new event and will be a fantastic weekend of entertainment, showcasing some of Devon’s finest wines.”

Other artists performing on the Saturday are internationally recognised blues group Julian Piper and Band, King Shambles, and brass band Gobi.

On Sunday, Sam Piper, @SamPiperMusic a rock singer-songwriter from Exeter, Wildwood Kin @WildwoodKin who won Open Mic UK, acoustic player Chris Hoburn, and singer Steve Knightley @sohsteve will all feature.

Other vineyards taking part include Sharpham, Manstree, Yearlestone, Kenton and Lily Farm.

Limited tickets are available by calling 01392 688020 or visiting hospiscare."
